The second episode of the BBC documentary about evolution. In this episode we learn how life rose from the seas and took over the lands.A few additions to the documentary.Interestingly, many structures such as the limbs and wings evolved many times separtely to different groups of animals, but the spine only evolved once, as it’s explained in this episode too.However the documentary doesn’t explain the evolution of egg in detail. “Which came first, the chikcen or the egg?” Well DUH; the egg. The leathery egg was a reptilian innovation and later on it turned into the hard-shelled egg like that of a bird. Dinosaurs also laid hard-shelled eggs, and so does the modern day platypus.
